TAE Technologies: The Dawn of Clean, Infinite Energy

Join us for this truly exclusive event!

Date: March 6, 2025
Time: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Location: TAE Technologies, 19631 Pauling, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610

Imagine a world where energy is endless, clean, and safe—a world where fossil fuels are obsolete, and humanity thrives on limitless power. That world is closer than you think, and TAE Technologies is leading the charge.

Backed by $1.2 billion in funding, 1,400 patents, and a global team of 600 visionaries, TAE is on the leading edge of delivering hydrogen-boron fusion, a transformative energy source that could power the planet for millennia without radioactive waste. But TAE’s innovations go far beyond fusion—this groundbreaking company has also launched two spinoff ventures: TAE Life Sciences, leveraging TAE’s accelerator beam technology to revolutionize cancer treatment, and TAE Power Solutions, commercializing power delivery innovations for battery energy storage systems and electric vehicles.

The Harvard Business School Association of Orange County invites you to a rare event showcasing the innovations reshaping our world.

Why You Should Attend:

► Experience World-Changing Innovation: Witness Norman, TAE’s groundbreaking fusion reactor capable of running up to 1,000 fusion experiments a month at temperatures many times hotter than the core of the sun.

Inspire Your Vision: Learn how TAE’s fusion technology is driving solutions for global energy challenges and deploying its spinoff technologies to accelerate the clean energy transition today.

Connect with Changemakers: Meet forward-thinking professionals, HBS alumni, and leaders shaping the future of business and technology.

MORE ABOUT THE COMPANY

Fusion: One of the Greatest Challenges of Our Time

Fusion is nature’s preferred source of energy; it’s what powers the sun and stars, and makes life possible on Earth. Terrestrial fusion can provide a high power density energy solution to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. However, harnessing energy from the fusion reaction is one of the most formidable challenges in history. Doing so depends on achieving two conditions:

1) confining plasma at sufficiently high temperatures
2) doing so for a long enough amount of time to sustain a fusion reaction.

TAE has been at the forefront of overcoming these challenges of hydrogen-boron fusion for over 25 years.

WHY HYDROGEN-BORON FUSION?

While there are different types of fusion, since its inception, TAE has been committed to pursuing fusion with hydrogen-boron because of the properties below:  ► ♦ Limitless Fuel Source: Available virtually everywhere around the world with approximately 100,000 years of supply.

♦ Cost-Effective: the abundance of the fuel source enables low-cost energy production.

♦ Safe: in addition to having no risk of meltdown, hydrogen-boron fuel is non-radioactive.

♦ No Radioactive Waste: In its primary reaction, it produces only three helium atoms as a byproduct – a hallmark that inspired TAE’s original company name, Tri Alpha Energy.

♦ Reliable: unlike intermittent energy sources such as wind and solar, nuclear fusion can provide stable power 24/7.

♦ Carbon Free: power generation emits no CO2.

THE PATH TO FUSION POWER:

TAE’s fusion technology grew out of concepts developed by the late Norman Rostoker, a UC Irvine physicist who co-founded the company. Since its founding in 1998, TAE has made progress according to its milestones below to achieve commercialization of its hydrogen-boron technology by the early 2030s.

In the roadmap, C-2W/Norman is currently operational, and Copernicus is in the construction stage.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

About TAE Technologies:

TAE Technologies (pronounced T-A-E) was founded in 1998 to develop commercial fusion power with the cleanest environmental profile. The company’s pioneering work represents the fastest, most practical, and economically competitive solution to bring abundant clean energy to the grid. With more than 2,300 patents filed globally and approximately 1,400 granted, more than $1.2 billion in private capital raised, five generations of National Laboratory-scale devices built along with two more in development, and an experienced team of over 600 employees, TAE is now on the cusp of delivering this transformational energy source capable of sustaining the planet for thousands of years. The company’s revolutionary technologies have produced a robust portfolio of commercial innovations in large adjacent markets such as power management, energy storage, electric mobility, fast charging, life sciences, and more. TAE is based in California, and maintains international offices in the UK, EU, and Switzerland. Multidisciplinary and mission-driven by nature, TAE is leveraging proprietary science and engineering to create a bright future.
